Cashmere is a luxury product and needs to be treated with tender loving care, along with a few trade secrets! At Belinda Robertson we are very proud to say that we know cashmere; we are the cashmere specialists and we know how to look after it.

We offer the very finest in cashmere care products so that you can look after and preserve the luxurious and irreplaceable feel of your cashmere garments. From storage bags to aromatic cedar blocks (invaluable for deterring those pesky little moths that like a good nibble on your cashmeres), to our very own cashmere wash.

The Belinda Robertson Cashmere Wash was specially formulated to launder, condition and protect the delicate silky softness of cashmere and wool. Customers, clients and staff agree that nothing works quite like it – and apparently it is very good for washing the dog too!

We recommend that you follow these simple steps when using the cashmere wash, and you should end up with luxuriously soft and perfectly laundered cashmere once more:

1. Mix 50ml of cashmere wash in a basin or sink of lukewarm water (5-7 litres).
2. Submerge the garment and soak for 30 mins. Do not rub or agitate.
3. Gently squeeze the suds through but avoid twisting or wringing the garment.
4. Rinse by submerging in cool clean water and soak for a further 30 mins. Again, do not rub or agitate.
5. Gently squeeze out the excess water and place in the ashing machine. Put on a 'gentle spin' for 10-15 seconds only.
6. Dry flat away from direct sunlight.
7. If required, iron the dry garment on a cool setting.
